Job Description
The Front Desk / Check-In Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a crucial role in ensuring the office runs smoothly. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail. The candidate must be available to work full-time, including Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet and welcome patients with a warm, friendly demeanor. Check patients in and verify their information, including insurance and contact details. Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Manage and confirm appointments. Ensure an efficient and organized schedule to optimize provider productivity. Handle cancellations, reschedules, and waitlist patients promptly.
- Insurance & Billing Support: Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in. Provide basic information about treatment plans and payment options.
- General Administrative Duties: Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally. Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area. Communicate effectively with the back office to ensure seamless patient flow. Maintain full-time availability, including Saturdays (required).
Requirements
- Dental experience required (1yr minimum).
- Dentrix Enterprise knowledge is a plus.
